HDPE Fish Tank

The cost-effective alternative to tarpaulin — an HDPE geomembrane-lined fish tank with thermally-welded, fully sealed and root-proof seams at a lower cost than welded PVC tarpaulin, ideal for tilapia, shrimp and biofloc farms and for lining large excavated or banked culture ponds.

FAQ

Most frequent questions and answers

hdpe tank liner 15 years. wire fence life time 5-6 years.

Yes, HDPE material is acid and alkaline resist.

Non-toxic, food grade. the HDPE granule get US FDA certificate.

resistant upto 100 degrees.

No, the hdpe material is rigid, can’t be folded after welding. we just send you hdpe membrane sheets by roll. you have to weld it after delivery.

System composition

In-house HDPE membrane welding

Hot-wedge / extrusion welds give fully sealed, high-strength seams that resist leaks and root penetration.

Lower cost than tarpaulin

HDPE geomembrane costs less than welded PVC tarpaulin for the same area — the economical choice for large footprints and excavated lined ponds; a factory-welded PVC tarpaulin tank, by contrast, needs no on-site welding and offers a longer service life.

Food-grade and non-toxic

HDPE is safe for food fish and shrimp, keeping culture water clean.

Multiple thicknesses

0.5–1.5 mm to match budget and lifespan; heavy gauges suit large excavated ponds.

Many formats

Above-ground framed round tanks, excavated lined ponds, banked reservoirs or custom rectangles.

Fully customizable

Size, membrane thickness, frame and fittings made to order.

Application

  • High-density grow-out of tilapia, catfish and shrimp
  • Durable biofloc culture ponds
  • RAS reservoir / make-up water and holding basins
  • Seepage-proof lining for large excavated or banked culture ponds
  • Water storage and rain-fed culture in water-scarce regions

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is an HDPE fish tank made of?

It uses a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) geomembrane liner — the same material used for industrial water containment — joined by hot-wedge / extrusion welding for fully sealed, leak-proof seams.

How is an HDPE tank better than a PVC tarpaulin tank?

Each has its strengths: a PVC tarpaulin tank leaves the factory fully welded — no on-site welding — and offers a longer service life, while HDPE geomembrane costs less and is welded panel by panel on site, making it the economical choice for large-area and excavated / banked lined ponds.

What membrane thickness is available?

The geomembrane is supplied in thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm (500–1500 micron); a thicker membrane gives longer service life and suits large excavated ponds.

What can an HDPE tank be used for?

It is widely adopted for tilapia, catfish and shrimp culture, biofloc systems, and RAS make-up or reservoir basins, in round or rectangular shapes from small nursery units to large commercial ponds.
